All our products are proudly made in the USA. We have taken great care over the last 30 years to provide superb quality products for your patients. Our Fabric
Our fabric is a 5.0 ounce thick and soft 65% 35% poly/cotton perma-press poplin. You may be familiar with this blend as it is used primarily for scrub uniforms.
Durable, very soft and fade resistant, it still looks fabulous after hundreds of washings!

Fabric Myths:
Most patient wear companies use a 50% 50% poly/cotton or a 45% 55% poly/cotton blend. Some people often assume having a larger percentage of cotton is an advantage; however, just the opposite is true. A 65% 35% poly/cotton blend is far superior in tightness of weave which provides a softer and more durable hand. Because it is a higher grade fabric it is also more costly per yard than a 50% 50% or 45% 55% poly/cotton blend. We have also chosen a heavier weight fabric which will greatly extend the life of the garment and never become transparent over time. Health Gear® sells to many larger institutions and laundry service companies who are delighted over the durability and long term resilience of our products.

Construction
All our products are sewn using 10-12 stitches per inch rather than the tradional 5-6. We triple tack all stress points throughout all of our designs. Our Velcro® and ties are sewn on securely for extra durability through wear and laundering. Our products are by far the highest quality for the price available in the patient wear industry.

Sizes
The size of our products is designed with the patient’s modesty and comfort in mind. Fuller and more spacious than traditional gowns, our sizes can accommodate the growing size of our population. The largest complaint of most patients is the lack of coverage and the tendency for exposure. More fabric decreases the likelihood of embarrassing situations.

Velcro®
Health Gear® exclusively utilizes “lint resistant” Velcro® fasteners in all our patient comfort gowns and tops. And yes, it really works! Our Velcro® is sewn on with a special cross stitch design for strength and durability.

Functionality and Care
Easy access for exams, imaging, therapy and treatment. Our designs permit ease and simplicity when laundered, folded and stored. Machine wash warm or cold water. Tumble dry on low heat. Do not bleach. Laundering our products per normal wash instructions meet OSHA requirements.
